Survey-says — race the room to the top survey answers
Category: Trivia · Players: free-for-all · Status: Beta
Community Feud is in beta — details may change.
Survey-says for the whole chat. Each round poses a question with a handful of hidden answer clusters — the top responses from a survey — and the room races to type them. The first person to name a cluster claims its entire survey count in points. Fill the board across several rounds, and the biggest tally wins.
Gameplay
A question appears with a set of hidden answer slots — one per top survey cluster.
No command — just type what you think the survey said. The first correct guess claims that cluster for you.
The round ends when every cluster is claimed or the host reveals the rest; the next question begins.
How the board works
Every cluster is worth the number of people who gave that answer in the survey — so the popular answers are worth the most, and it pays to call them fast before someone else does.
- Each cluster is worth its survey count. A cluster 42 people named banks 42; a niche answer banks only a few.
- First to name it claims it. Once a cluster is taken, it’s locked to that player — later guesses of the same answer don’t score.
- Matching is forgiving. Answers are canonicalized and stemmed, so plurals, casing, and small variations still land on the right cluster. See Answer matching.
Configuration
| Option | Values | Default |
|---|---|---|
| Theme | Random, Food, Family, Men vs Women, and more | Random |
| Rounds | number of questions | Set per game |
| NSFW prompts | on / off | Off |
| Gift claims | a gift that claims a chosen slot | Off until set |
Theme. Scope the questions to one theme. Some are topical — Food, Family, Love, Animals, Travel, and more. Others group questions by their angle, since most Feud prompts are behavioural rather than about a subject: Men vs Women, Cringe (awkward, gross, and pet-peeve moments), Fears & Nerves, and Wishful Thinking. Leave it on Random to draw from the whole bank — the authentic random-Feud pool and the deepest deck.
NSFW prompts. Off by default: the question bank is filtered for stream-safe content. Turn it on to include the spicier prompts held back by that filter. It applies on top of whichever theme you pick — Random or a specific one.
Rounds. How many questions make up the game. Scores accumulate across all of them.
Slot gift. An optional gift mapped to a specific answer slot — sending it claims that cluster for the gifter (see Gifts).
Layout
- Marquee — game title and how-to hint.
- Question strip — the current question and round number.
- Survey board — the answer clusters; claimed slots fill in with their point value, unclaimed ones stay hidden.
- Gift strip — the slot gift when configured.
- Leaderboard — players ranked by total points across the rounds.
The game moves through Lobby → Round → Revealed → Finished.
Gifts
Community Feud’s gift claims a chosen answer slot. Each configured gift maps to one slot on the board; sending it banks that cluster for the gifter, just as if they’d typed it first. It’s off unless the host sets it, and it’s competitive — a gifted slot is one fewer for the room to race for.
Scoring
- Claiming a cluster banks its full survey count; bigger clusters are worth more.
- Scores accumulate across every round; the highest total wins, and ties are shipped as co-winners.
- Points feed the per-streamer tally behind avatar ring tiers. Wins are tracked per streamer.
